Reading, not Knitting, Harry Potter

I have spent the last couple of days immersed in the final Harry Potter book, and finished it this afternoon. Nicely done, JK! I enjoyed it, and even remember some of the plot (I have this habit of immediately forgetting the entire plot of an HP novel as soon as I finish it -- which is good for watching the films, but not so good when I'm trying to figure out the references to past events in the next book in the series.) No, I won't reveal the ending (I'll probably have forgotten how it ended by tonight anyways), but I liked it.

Now that I've finished the book, it may be time to grab my copy of "Charmed Knits" and make a little something. I was thinking matching hats for a certain big Potter fan and his cute little daughter...which house colors though? DD Pia wound her yarn for the Griffindor House scarf, so she's ready to get started.

We leave for Seattle tomorrow and will be attending Stitch n Pitch tomorrow night at Safeco Field! Watch for us, we'll the the dorks trying to catch balls of yarn thrown out by the Mariner Moose (actually, that will what be most of the knitters in attendance will be doing, so never mind) I'll try to post some pictures of the event if I can.

You know Ryan is going to claim that he's a Gryffindor... better go maroon and gold for the precious twosome! Although now that he's a dad, maybe Hufflepuff colors would suit him better.

oops have I been misspelling Gryffindor all this time. Guess I am not a TRUE Pot-Head.

Well of course you are, you can't remember anything Potter once you are done. Please note who spelled it correctly though! I need some props for that...

Okay, I am dying laughing right now. I think Ry would be happy with anything HP, as long as it's not the same house as that bratty little blonde kid in the movie...Harry's nemesis. Don't know his name or house, but I know that Ryan hates him:). As you can tell I am not a Pot-Head...but probably should catch up.

Megs, I'm a little disappointed in you right now! Your a mom, it's time to get into the Potter-mania. We can't have little Hads be embarassed by your lack of knowledge. :) He hates Malfoy who is a Slytherine. Stay away from silver and green if you are making Ry Potter clothes! Oh, and I'm laughing on this end too!

and Rotch, you misspelled SLYTHERIN so ha ha.

I know, but it was really late when I posted, and I didn't catch it until I'd hit send. How was the game Lavs?

mostly we gabbed with Susan so I didn't actually watch a lot of the game. But we had fun and I bought some cool M's colored yarn. Will post about it as soon as I can (I forgot to bring my cord for uploading photos)
