Happy Birthday, Cara Mia!

Today's Cara's birthday, and I hope she is enjoying her 'tourist' visit to DC! I haven't gotten to celebrate her BD with her in a few years; who is cooking your fave sloppy joes and niblets birthday dinner for you, doll?

Love you x a million!!!

Here's a school picture of our Car-parts from about 3rd grade. Note the Girl Scout blouse she's wearing, not sure why as I think she pretty much despised Girl Scouts. Especially when I made her go out and sell enough boxes of GS cookies to earn a free trip to summer camp :-)

happy bday Cara. Kip had a cubs shirt that had much the same tale. They didn't have to sell anything though, and his dad wasn ot competent enough in the wood working dept. to alter his pine wood derby entry - so you can imagine the miserable loss.

our poor children and their scouting experiences. At least they got to BE in scouts, right sisters? Of course B you are scarred by the Camp Fire Girls...

Happy day Cari!!! I was always so jealous of the kids in girl scout/brownie paraphenelia! The B would not let me join because she got kicked out of Bluebirds...what sense does that make?! We love you tons, and we're ready for some moveage homeage. And Lavs, I would have been summer campless if I was a part of your abode. I never sold a thing...FEAR #87: Soliciting.

lets get that story straight I QUIT in support of my friend Gayle who got kicked out for no good reason. megan you made fun of those outfits and when I told you, you would actually have to do the jobs to earn the badges you decided to stay with sports.

And B, good for being supportive of Leno. But I think you also hated the Camp Fire lady bc she made you guys do her ironing during meetings. Did you even earn beads for that?

Happy b-day Cara. Sorry I didn't get my post up in time. I'll write you a super-post when I have some free time at camp this week. Love you!

you goof ball, we didn't do the ironing, our dues were 50 cents higher than the other troops because Mrs. S paid a woman to iron while we had campfire. Should have seen the sparks when Mimi found out about that.

well I knew ironing was involved and there was hell to pay vis a vis Lois. No wonder we were never allowed to join anything haha.

I don't know what she was so pissy about - I did all of HER ironing (starching the Paris Points and everything!) for FREE

and ditto on the boys' ironing and their crap Gant shirts.
