The Bike Riding Lesson

Steve taught the brothers how to ride their bikes and we are hoping he can work his magic with Mikey, who insisted on having his training wheels removed now that he is a big 4 year old. Here's a look at Moochie's first bike riding lesson (I HEART his baseball helmet used as a bike helmet since his real helmet is broken).

Fortunately, Mom packed his training wheels for the trip to Lopez. I think he's gonna need them for a little while longer...

do love the helmet. Maybe for a first ride you might rething the flip flops and a few more clothes or at least some knee pads. You know darn well that you cannot have first ride without a rockerie somewhere in the vicinity!! AND what kind of wienie doesn't learn on a hill....

That helmet is doing nothing! It is HUGE! I love that Mikey is just getting pushed along...pedal mikey, pedal! Nice big brother encouragement though! Glad they brought the wheels up with them...Although, maybe since Jon is up there it would have been better to leave the wheels at home. He's got a young strong back!

oh no Jon is a cranky old fart
:-) And you are right the helmet is useless, but marginally better than nothing. Mikey would prefer to be pushed anyway, or carried.

I hope you are having NOTHING to do with his bike lessons.

I know better than to pass my 'skills' along to anyone, esp. a kid who's not wearing an actual bike helmet.
