With all this snow and my refusal to stick my nose out the door till it's gone, I've had plenty of knitting time. I've been cozied up in my recliner, toasty warm under my Xmas blanky from Cara & Tony, and watching old movies. Bliss. And don't send hate messages about the foggy pix, I KNOW.
This is the beret I knit for myself as I don't seem to have any hats. Not that I need a hat bc I refuse to go outside. But just in case. Anyway, it's a pretty lace pattern in a very soft hand-dyed wool yarn in purples. Love it!

Nice job Lavs. Although it helps that I have seen them in person :)
They are foggy but do get the idea. so cute. spokane is all over the news. I saw a lot of stories about roof collapses...
Pia and Katie should have been in the news for their roof collapse! It was very dramatic.
keep on knitting the ornis until Befana!
oh great idea! Forgot about Befana, will keep knitting w/o panic.
sooo cute. and spokane is all over the news here too. we're miny celebrities here just being from there!
I'm glad we weren't on it. I don't think I could have handled that. Traumatic enough to not have our cars let alone having to answer questions about it. Thank goodness we both have insurance. One lady on the news didn't have any. It was heartbreaking.
that's hilarious that you guys are getting props in VA for being from WA. They prolly think they are talking about WA DC tho.
Love the elf...but since I'm kind of not speaking to you after the haiku hoax, i don't want to get to sappy about it. PS Don't think that beret is going to keep you too warm in your 1,000 inches of snow.
you should get a shput put (is that still a term?) just for using Haiku hoax, ah the wrath of an SL tee hee
exactly Zaide, they are just mad bc they didn't win. Besides, I know Megan can just come over and steal your prize anyways.
alas so true...and the double wammy of it is that after she steals it and has it for awhile, whe will try to sell it back to you - when it was your in the first place!!!
