1911 Mittens

I don't have much exciting to blog, so here's a picture of one of my many projects in the works. I'm updating a pattern from a 1911 knitting book, making a pair of lady's mittens. The yarn is really nice (Classic Elite Fresco, a wool/alpaca/angora blend that 1900s knitters would have loved!), and the raspberry color is yum. I'm kind of stalled on the top shaping because the old instructions are really wonky, but hope to have some thinking/knitting time this weekend to get 'er done.
