Project Updates

Here's the swatch for my "Secret of the Stole III" KAL (Knit Along). It's in a color called "Peach Ice Cream" which I think is very pretty (in fact, it makes me want an ice cream cone RIGHT NOW), plus seed beads. I haven't knit much with beads, so I'm looking forward to learning a new skill with this project.

I'm also done with sock #1 on my Jule's Sweet Sundae Socks (hmmm seems to be an ice cream theme developing here). Very cute! I'll put a picture when I block the sockie. Now to cast on for the dreaded sock #2.

And I need to finish these socks FAST, cuz the Olympics start in ONE WEEK, and I am entered in the "Ravolympics" where I'm on Team Starmore Junkies and have vowed to knit an entire sweater during the Olympics. I'm going to knit Alice Starmore's Erin cardigan:

my colors are blues/purples/reds. Wish me luck, cuz this is going to be a challenging project!

are you pre-stringing the beads??? looks awesome - and it is pretty fun - used beads on my Hanami . . .

no I'm going to use the technique they suggested which is to use a crochet hook and slide the bead on the stitch as you are working the row. When I prestrung the beads, not one bead ended up where it was supposed to.

you will have to show me that technique - I couldn't figure it out for the life of me!

it's actually pretty easy. I will send you a link for the little video or pictorial.
