"Fragile Baby"

Mikey has been sick this week with a nasty flu bug. He and I decided that he has been a 'fragile baby' because all he wanted to do was be held and rocked.
Yesterday, he was feeling lots better. He was playing with Lincoln Logs and it was time to clean up. When I asked him to pick up his toys, he said "no Wowo, I fragile baby", and put his tiny little hand next to mine to show me how he was too small to pick up all those logs. LOL! I convinced him that it would be fun to clean up if I timed him, and he raced to pick them all up.
Yeah for three year olds! And "I'll Time You" is always a valuable tool in the nanny's box o tricks.

he is a great snuggler. And yes he is working on his words, lots of chatter. I love that he calls me Wowo, so cute! He has a Wowo song he sings too. Makes me feel special!

Too bad it's such a short window of time for such cuteness! Sounds like he is as smart as a whip, to get out of doing his chores.

To my teenage daughter's dismay, I always tell people about the time she told us she wanted to go to
"Viagra Falls" for vacation.

when I would leave for work I would leave a list of chores to be done. Picking up your "stuff" was usually on the list. When I got home and the job was not done I would yell out "garbage bag sweepstakes" grab my 42 gallon bag and start stuffing it. Kip and Megan would be frantically running around the room trying to get their stuff before it went in the bag. You had to "buy" your stuff out by doing extra chores and or paying money. I don't know if it worked but they both still talk about it. Meg may need to weigh in on her memory.

that sounds great! Except it would require me to pick up crap. And these boys are so smart I am pretty sure they'd say oh that's ok, you keep it Laurie, we can always get more stuff. They're always at least one step ahead of me ;-)
