Halfway Done

Here's my completed "Jule's Sweet Sundae Sock" #1, modeled by yours truly. I love pink socks!

BTW, this was taken before I tripped over a sidewalk crack yesterday, fell flat on my face. People stifled their laughter long enough to come to my aid, which I thought was nice; I personally would have been overcome with uncontrollable guffawing at the sight of the fat lady taking a tumble. I think I have a broken big toe and lots of scrapes and owies. No socks for me for a few days!

there is nothing funnier that someone tripping and falling, unless of course you are the one that it's happening to.

I wanted to laugh but I was too busy trying not to cry. I'm sure I'm on Youtube as we speak..

OH NO! I happen to be recovering from a badly broken big toe myself. I did it by kicking a toy for my dog barefoot. I caught the edge of a floormat in the process that did not give. A totally brain-dead thing to do.

Oh I would have died. And it would have taken ALL my nurse training to come to your aid without out tears streaming down my face...from guffawing of course.

BTW, very pretty sock, but your story kind of out-shined it.

I know, you can't beat a falling down story! Allison I feel your pain. Katie thinks I'm a big wuss as well as a clod. No sympathy here.

Hey, it takes a pretty brave person to endure broken toe pain and see a Podiatrist! They use Craftsman power tools and try to work on your injury before the shots kick in. They put four shots in my toe - I almost passed out. And they didn't even offer me a cocktail or anything...Sadists...

Tell Katie that toe pain is almost as bad as childbirth. Except that the pain continues for six weeks.

Okay, NOT as bad as childbirth (But for me that was LONG ago). But it does hurt like hell.

poor Allison! My toe is recovering, evidently I WAS being hysterical and it's not actually broken. But it FELT like it.

Glad to hear it wasn't broken...but sprains can be as painful as breaks. Hope you start feeling better soon!
