Busted!

Katie and Lucy, that is!  The boys and I joined our fave couple on a fun outing to Riverside State Park last weekend.  Little did we know that the long arm of the law was lurking at the end of the trail!

Katie let Lucy off the leash (yes, there are a zillion signs saying NOT to do this, but we chose to disregard them) and she ran right up to Ranger Rick, who was waiting at the top of the trail with ticket book in hand.  $80.00 later, we were on our way, with Lucy Lou safely re-leashed.

I think a warning would have sufficed, but I guess times are tough for the state parks system.  Katie, think of it as a (forced) donation to our parks.  And the boys enjoyed the experience, it prepared them for their teenage years lol.

when I got a ticket in Renton I looked at it the same way, those cities are hurting and need our $$. Oh well...someone has to support them, and Lucy is so happy off leash. Bring her back to Kachess she can run there!!

i agree, i thought a warning would have been more than sufficient. but am fine with paying the fine - little girl was just so happy to run off her leash and splash in the water that it was worth it ;)

Chris had his friend over the other day to ride his jet ski. Literally within one minute of being out there he got two tix: one for no tabs and one for no wa boater reg. $500 later he was on his way. I was asking about it tonight and was told the same friend was taking a car to the shipper's yard for a friend and got a $600 ticket for no insurance and tabs. Hi-larious. Sort of.

Chris may need smarter friends. Just saying...
