And here's our little birthday girl, scarfing down her birthday cake (actually, she would just stab the fork into the frosting and lick it, but she seemed pretty happy with that). Thanks Val, for letting me steal a picture, I knew you'd have some cute photos! I wasn't permitted to take my camera out during the party, since SOME PEOPLE seem to think I'm incapable of taking a good piccie. Can't imagine where that slander got started. Our gift was Hads' favorite, I'm sure: a 5 pack of Lipsmackers 'wa wa' (lipstick in Hadly-speak). I'm hoping it wasn't made in China, because I think she was eating at least as much as she was smearing on her lips.
Sunday drive home was pure hell. The pass was miserably snowy, we had to buy chains AND put them on ourselves. Where are the unemployed people when they could do some good, chaining up cars? I'd have gladly paid for this service. It took us about 3 hours to creep over the pass, then was smooth sailing the rest of the way. No return trip until spring has sprung!

Oh shoot. That sucks! Great seeing you guys. Hat was A-dorable. Loved it. Lip smackers were a hit. Logan was definitely in love with them.
ha our present was totally the best! of course the one that cost about $3.99... ;) and as usual, our road trips are full of adventure!
YUCK! You're probably never coming again. Thanks so much for being a part of the bash! The 'peace hat' was outta this world and will soon be making an appearance in many photos and the 'wa-wa' has already been taken away...because she eats it. You guys always know what's a hit. Love you.
Not tough to figure out what Miss Hads is going to like. She's totally your daughter!
the hat is very darling and so stylish being the 50th anniversary and all. I am thinking I should be clearning up wax/lip smacker bundles any day now.
yuck, those will be really the worst poops EVER. But they will be colorful!
at least the bundles will smell like cotton candy or kiwi-strawberry LOL
