Book Chat

I'm home from day #2 of my new library job. Man, there is a lot of stooping and kneeling involved in shelving books, hope my poor knees are up to it. ;-)

Today, I was allowed to shelve non-fiction! woot woot! In case you didn't know, that is a picture of Melville Dewey, who created the Dewey Decimal System.

Tomorrow, who knows...maybe I will get to shelve children's books. The book world is my oyster!

I love how you say you were "allowed" to shelve the non-fiction, they must save that for the best pages! :)

Maybe you should get one of those little knee pad things old woman use for gardening. And how much do I love that the library world is your oyster. You're so funny. Steal us a couple kid books would ya, since Hads can't crawl for shit we're going to try and teach her to read.

thanks gals, I am feeling quite empowered. And Hads doesn't need to crawl yet!

Meg - you are asking for nothing but trouble once she crawls - you have NO IDEA how un-kid-proofed your house is!

Agreed mom and Sue. You should enjoy the weelbe-wobble stage as long as you can. This way you don't REALLY have to watch her, or worry about what she has gotten into. I'm sure I can find you lots of books if you don't want L-dine to steal them...

No ladies, I totally agree with you. I'll hobble her.

ok I TOTES need the old lady gardening kneeler thing. I cannot believe how tired my stumpy sundstrom legs are tonight! Being a library page is no easy job let me tell ya. And Megs, do put a ball and chain on Hads (or just keep her adorably chubby so she can only roll along)
