We still have two eps to go, so don't tell us who the Yellow King is! True Detective is crazy good. With lots of crazy. McConaughey is going to win an Emmy for this, but Woody is also awesome and deserving of awards. Get HBO, you guys!
I took zero photos, but we had a grand time on our cabin getaway! Thanks to our very generous hosts Zaide and Baba!
It poured rain most of the time (welcome spring in the great Pacific Northwest), which gave us a perfect excuse to indulge in a movie marathon. We watched:
All is Lost
Nebraska (my fave)
And maybe more that I've now forgotten. I had a knitting crisis when I forgot the pattern for one project and brought the wrong color yarn for the other project. Luckily, I had purchased a skein of yarn at Serial Knitters on Friday night so had something to knit. Plus Cara begged me to finish her sweater for Colie, so I wasn't left with empty needles.
We relaxed, we ate healthy, we visited the casino and the Nike outlet, we slept in, we watched rain fall and the Zags play basketball, we survived without Internet. Aaahhhh.
All of us girls lost last week, yay! Tony was in Orlando for a work convention, which evidently required drunk noshing on Twizzler Bites in his hotel room :-) He MAY have gained an ounce or two. But probably lost even with his debauchery because that is how men do.
Big news: I WENT SHOPPING. AND BOUGHT JEANS. If you know me at all, you know this is HUGE. I haven't worn anything but black yoga pants in years. I am sitting here typing, wearing my Katie-approved Calvin Klein jeans in a size 14. I haven't fit in a 14 in years either :-) Granted, they are some kind of stretch denim, but still. Pretty soon I'm going to have to buy new underpants, the old ones are starting to fall off.
