that traveling with a small child is not a simple task. You don't just hop in the car and go.
Colie and I went and visited Cara at her office today, then we are taking Pia to the airport. This little trip required that her dad transfer the car seat to my vehicle. That I keep her awake until it was time to go (which caused a huge hissy fit when little Missy did not get her morning hot bottsy until it was time to leave). That I pack her grip with snacks, diapers, wipes, spare binky and the hot bottsy. That I figure out how to buckle her into the damn car seat. And that I carry her everywhere because she is wearing mouse slippers today rather than real shoes.
I miss the good old station wagon days, when we just threw everyone in the way back with some toys and a sleeping bag.

trust me I know...yesterday Carson and I had multiple stops, in and out, in and out, in and out of that SAFE damn car seat. At one point I just had to go across the parking lot and top buckled him until he said he was going to tell his mama that the bottom buckles weren't done. Little rat!!
SO glad we just have booster now - but I know what you mean about throwing them in the way back - and the ratting out!
haha love that Carson is a total stoolie. Zaids, you need to do some negotiating with that guy, you must have SOMETHING you can blackmail him with. These Safety Sams/Susans, too much for us old school grammies!
