Attack!
Tony and I tackled the "Corner of Horrors" (giant pile of yard crap. Thanks former owners) in the backyard this morning. We lasted about five minutes, then this attacked me:

Moving Day!
And a long, exhausting day it's been. But everything is moved, though maybe not put in its final spot yet. And we are ready to crawl into freshly made beds. And by we I mean me.
Pictures soon!

I Know You Are But What Am I
A customer called Cara "middle aged", which didn't sit well with my baby girl.
Yikes what does that make ME?!

Down For the Count again
This home reno project has been a bit tough on me. I'm old. And not flexible. Today, I slipped on the stairs (not even at the new house actually) and fell and twisted my ankle. So I spent the day sitting with my foot elevated and iced. Boo.
Hopefully I will be back up to speed (snail pace) tomorrow. Meanwhile, the team forged ahead without me and got a lot done. Hmmm, maybe they work better without me...

Finished Something!
With all the house demo/Reno, I haven't had much knitting time. But I finally found my scissors and finished up a couple of projects
There and Back Again Socks (ignore my hairy legs, no time to shave either!):

Ouch
Have I mentioned I have GOUT? As Jon told me, "that's what old prospectors get!" So call me Gabby Hayes. It's totally not fun, very painful in the joints. Mine tends to flare up in my fingers/knuckles rather than the old-fashioned big toes.
So I'm not always helpful in the house remodel, but I do manage to cripple around most every day, fetching tools and whatnot if nothing else. I'm drinking cherry juice this morning (supposed to help break down the uric acid crystals) and icing various body parts. We have a big work weekend planned, so I need to get fixed fast!
House is coming along. We put cabinet doors back on and added knobs -- they look great, totes worth all the hard work. Katie and Tony have been muddying and sanding drywall like crazy, not a fun job. Our resident Paint Expert Cara is planning to do some exterior painting in preparation for the new windows (coming next week). And it's blistering hot, just to add another level of misery. I think this is the phase where everyone despairs that anything is actually going to get finished, but after this weekend we should be patting ourselves on the back for all the hard work
