Liam (scary pumpkin) and Alex (scary witch) provided some holiday illustrations for my blog. Too scary!!
We had a 'ghostly' experience last night! I was babysitting over at Lorraine's and the doorbell kept MYSTERIOUSLY ringing, but no one was there! We were sure it was a ghost! But then we decided it was a short in the wiring, and after the twins complained that it was 'irritating' and they couldn't sleep, I dismantled the doorbell. End of ghost story.

I would have been spooked for sure. One night after Ryan and I watched The Ring (with every single light on in the house...I hate scary movies) we went to bed and smelled this horrid burnt hair smell and heard a sizzling sound coming from our overhead light. We were freaked (have you seen the movie? It has a lot of images of this young creepy girl with freakishly long hair). Finally after a lot of screaming, Ryan went to investigate. Just a fly being burnt to death. But spooked us both. Good SCARY pics boys...bet they're on Aunt Lowdie's fridge.
I love that the Pumpkin is screaming! No wonder you were so tired last night mom. A shorting doorbell is just about as scary as when the Adams' alarm went off in the middle of the night when I was watching Ellen one weekend, and the police told me to go downstairs and look to see if anyone was in the house. I, of course, declined but promised to run to the door as soon as they got there. Ellen and I sat against Warren and Robin's bolted door until they arrived. Luckily, it was only the dog who had escaped from its room! Phew!
And Megs, I'm with you on the not watching scary movies. I hate them.
good lord girl! why are you watching a movie like that!!! Yikes! Meg, remember when we went to the 6th Sense? You prolly didn't notice, but I had my eyes closed in ALL the scary parts lol. And Pia, good girl for not listening to the Po-Po!
Totally unrelated, but one of my students gave me a Harry Potter puppet show link from youtube. Thought it might be something you'd like mom, and maybe a bone for Ry Ry, Megalina.

Oh, and my scariest movie experience was watching Copycat at Whitman with my friend Pete at the beginning of Xmas break. WE were like the only two people on campus, and we watched it late at night at his Frat house. I had to walk back across campus by myself in the dark, and then stay in Prentice Hall with no other living soul around. I was so scared I didn't even go to the bathroom all night, just totally held it because I was convinced some psycho killer was hiding out in the second floor bathroom. I conviently forgot that I am not agoraphobic (unlike Sigorney Weaver in the movie), and could in fact leave at any time if it was true...
you are all so funny, i love your scary stories. and i really love that the boys decided it was "annoying", that cracked me up! I, of course, have no comparable stories simply because i refuse to watch any scary movies. ever. :O
