The Turkey Report

Katie, Pia and I had a grand time celebrating Turkey Day with the fam in Seattle! Though I hear rumors that K is under the weather today (bringing the Pepto and 7-Up down stat, Katie).
We had our fab dinner at Mimi's house as per usual, and all the usual suspects were present. Disaster was narrowly averted thanks to a quick trip to the grocery store for the giant economy size box of Potato Buds. T-Giving dinner is simply NOT possible without mashies! And with a ton of gravy poured over them, the Buds were pretty good. Topped off with Mimi's apple and Susna's pumpkin pies, the day was perfecto.
We had a lovely breakfast at the Prentices' house (and a darling house it is! Megs definitely has potential as a closet organizer if she gets tired of nursing). B-Z and the Narodes joined us, and we had lots of fun eating, gabbing and playing with the babies. Saint Josh of Mill Creek even drove Lois home when she was ready to leave :-)
Visited Susna at Hilltop Yarn East (and man are they lucky to have her!) and the girls got patterns & yarn to knit stockings for Christmas gifts. They are flying along too, I'm very impressed! P is already on the foot of her stocking. And Katie...well she has to stop often for 'emotional recovery', but her work is excellent. Only 24 more days, K! Get going!
Stopped at the cabin on the way over the pass and visited the Davis gang. Baba was kept busy catering to Hadley's every whim, Rudy was loving being allowed up on the couch (Zaide is SUCH a softie), and the B was trying to get everyone to finish the turkey soup and explaining just why she requires a twin stroller every Wed PLUS a second set o wheels for the cabin. Meg & Ry were left to justify just why they sold the fancy schmancy chariot for 2 out from under her.
Can't wait to get back for another visit! Thanks for all the hospitality dear family!

how fun that you came over, we adored seeing you all. Now about the cabin, you are welcome anytime and if we are there so much the better. What would work for you, just throw out dates and you can let me know if you want to come? I like the cabin to be as low key/maintenance as possible and would like to to be one place where I don't have to do a lot of planning, I get enough of that state side.

it's just our sneaky way of getting to come back, since we NEVER get invited (cabin wise) JK B...
