Orange You Glad...

I finally wound the yarn I dyed the day I broke my arm :-(  I used some natural dyes (madder and fustic, plus alum mordant) to get this pretty peach-y/orange color.

adroe that color. with all the yarn colors out there why does one need to dye? Is it cheaper or just the challenge?

Kind of like trying to make your own mozarella at home like I did the other day.

Except now, after two failed attempts for unknown reasons I will go out and buy the crap that's already made.

did you see the Italian mozz. that turned blue? A lady called the police when hers turned blue, lol. Only in Italy would this be a criminal offense. Good for you for trying to make cheese Lis!
