TQI Week 6

I finally got the scale to nudge down a pound. Things continue to go well, and we are trying out lots of new recipes, mostly successfully. The crock pot pork was rather too orangey, but the paleo baking is improving by leaps and bounds.

I'm walking on the treadmill at least three times a week, plus upper body stuff and feel like improvement is happening. Tony has lost a ton of weight of course (damn guy metabolism) and looks fantastic. It's so helpful to have the entire house on the eating plan!

That's so great! I just don't have the willpower. I wish I did.

so, so happy. I started on Saturday, and so far this week am not feeling too deprived. Coffee with almond milk loses a bit, but I am getting used to tasting actual coffee!! I made the Abascol muffins yesterday and they are delicious (possibly cuz I have had no sugar for awhile) If you want to try them I have a few tips to make they palatable (and tasty) Damn throat thing is still here but hopefully.....

Hoping it helps you! We found a muffin recipe that's edible (Katie and Tony are our bakers, they may even use the Abascal muffin recipe) and are trying all kinds of new things. The only thing I've added back is some dairy, I missed my half and half too much. Have had no sugar to speak of (does coconut sugar count? Hope not as it's kind of terrible) except maple syrup. No booze either. And really not missing the wheat, sugar, alcohol at all.
