Memories

I've blogged about this before, but can't resist. Autumn brings back fond memories of high school homecoming. And my senior year, when our class float went up in flames during the big parade. "Light of Victory" indeed.

Hurray for toilet paper flowers! That was about the end of the homecoming parade wasn't it?

and I remember you guys in the gym I think dressed in white holding candles (hard to believe anyone thought that was a good idea - and come to think of it, it was kind of ku klux klannish) but I thought you guys were so cool. And I think that homecoming our thems was "kangaroos, breakfast of champions" and we wore cereal boxes around our necks. No wonder we loved your stuff!!

There was a definite lack of concern for safety. And everyone had dorky themes (ours did have a whiff of KKK in the costuming). I blame Peter Rinearson.
